Why Timberlock?
Superior envelope — full-size logs are double-channelled to accept 2″ S4S framing lumber, leaving a 3–4″ insulated air-tight void between logs.
Less shrinkage — the milled channels cut through the sapwood (the wettest part of the log), so Timberlock logs shrink less than scribed logs.
Earthquake stabilised — logs and perimeter beams are pre-drilled for vertical steel redi-rods, tightened as the structure shrinks.
Simpler, cheaper wiring — electrical runs through the horizontal voids, encased by the lumber splines.
Any size or footprint — from a compact cabin to a spacious luxury estate, using the best house logs or a more characterful saw-log sort.
